Is Your Tennis Grip Bionic? It Could Be, Even if You Have Arthritis.

I’ve seen only a handful of players using gloves on court. Those who have converted are unable to play without them.

Curious I checked out a pair. I thought they might be a great option for someone who needed to keep their skin out of the sun or for someone with arthritis who had trouble gripping the racquet. A friend recently told me she had stopped playing for this reason.

Babolat has updated its Propulse and Team range high-performance tennis shoes for the 2010 season.

The Propulse Range is Babolat’s highest performing line of shoes. New to the group is the Propulse 2 Titanium (pictured left, $109 USD). Andy Roddick debuted the Propulse 2 Titanium in January at the Australian Open.

Chinese Brand Peak Signs as the WTA Tours Official Sponsor in Asia-Pacific. More Window Shopping Only for Players Outside China.

The Sony Ericsson WTA Tour has announced that Peak Sport Products Co., a Chinese brand, will be the Tour’s official shoe and apparel partner in Asia-Pacific beginning this summer. Look for the new co-branded apparel and footwear at the China Tennis Festivals in September, the China Open, at grassroots events and in player development programs working to grow tennis…in China.

Serena Williams beats her sister Venus to claim Sony Ericsson Championships title

Serena Williams defeated defending champion Venus Williams to win the Sony Ericsson Championships – Doha 2009.

Serena beat her older sister Venus for the second time at this year’s Championships and faced no break points en route to a 6-2 7-6(4) victory in the season finale. Canadian Frank Dancevic jazzed up the courts at the Campbell’s Hall of Fame Tennis Champ- ionships in Newport wearing this look, one of my recent favs, a great choice for a killer hot day.
