I’ve seen only a handful of players using gloves on court. Those who have converted are unable to play without them.
Curious I checked out a pair. I thought they might be a great option for someone who needed to keep their skin out of the sun or for someone with arthritis who had trouble gripping the racquet. A friend recently told me she had stopped playing for this reason.

Samantha Stosur is one of the few pros who wears sun-glasses while playing. Why is that? Out on the recreational courts we see them all the time. Many might feel that sunglasses impede their vision in some way; give these a try.

The Sony Ericsson WTA Tour has announced that Peak Sport Products Co., a Chinese brand, will be the Tour’s official shoe and apparel partner in Asia-Pacific beginning this summer. Look for the new co-branded apparel and footwear at the China Tennis Festivals in September, the China Open, at grassroots events and in player development programs working to grow tennis…in China.

Serena Williams defeated defending champion Venus Williams to win the Sony Ericsson Championships – Doha 2009.
Serena beat her older sister Venus for the second time at this year’s Championships and faced no break points en route to a 6-2 7-6(4) victory in the season finale.
